Thank you Julie. The photos were difficult because it was very overcast. When I exposed for the hawk the background washed out completely, although I’m not displeased with the effect. I am, however, displeased with the lack of an eyelight. I guess you can’t have everything, , , but it would be nice.
I just loves these hawks, Ferruginous is so much fun to say!
Mia, that’s esy for you to say.
We’ll let Mia say Ferruga . . Fergugana. . . Ferruginous for both of us Bob.
I loves them too Mia, and I see them far too seldom. I was delighted that this one agreed to sit for a photo!
I need to see one of these!
Yes, of course you do. I was fortunate to see this one. I don’t see them nearly as often as I’d like!
Wonderful birds, I love the way he is looking at you in pic 2!
Thank you Lisa. They really are beautiful, aren’t they?
I have never seen a Ferruginous Hawk before. So very handsome. I love the feather colors. Great shots, Linda!

You’re just going to have to come back to New Mexico Bob!
Nice to have them sit and turn those eyes on you Cool
Aren’t they handsome? It would have been nice to have some sun so there would be an eyelight, but I was very happy to see and photograph the bird!
