Nice series Linda!
A confrontation. Great shots.
Actually they were very lovey-dovey with each other. They were calling to Nene on the other side of the golf course, and eventually flew over to join them. They were a very cute couple!
Beauty birds and photos, Linda. Nice to see them in flight on the video, too. Thanks for the introduction to the Nene.
Thanks for your nice comments Scott. They really are lovely. Wish they hadn’t been in such tall grass so I could have shown their feet. They’re webbed only about half way, with long claws to assist them in climbing over the lava rocks.
Gorgeous birds Linda. A lovely series of photos, and video too.
I really love the Nene. Last year it took me awhile to find them. This year I found a pair when I wasn’t really looking for them. It pays to always have your camera with you!
I should call my Wednesday “birdless” instead of ‘wordless”
Got nothing here and the sun goes down so fast
Great shots, congrats
Love’em and U too
Thanks for your kind comments Mike. I’m sure the bird situation is pretty grim there in winter, but you make up for it in summer. Merry Christmas to you, Lise and your family, and especially to that beautiful granddaughter! Love from Kaua’i.
Such a lovely series of this beautiful pair! Fantastic!
Thanks Julie. I love the Nene. They’re really special.
What a wonderful series, Linda. Glad to see you’re enjoying the local wildlife!
Thanks Jann. I’m taking photos faster than I can ever post them. Took the underwater camera out today. I’m going to need some practice with that one! Having a great time.
Who are those masked strangers? Beautiful birds & shots. Glad to see you’ve recovered and are out shooting! Luv..
Thanks Cindy. Aren’t they gorgeous? Yes, feel much less jet-lagged. More photos to come! Woo hoo!
Great series Linda. Have a great Christmas in the sun
Thanks Dan. I’ve had a lovely holiday so far. It’s just wonderful here.
Merry Christmas, Linda.
Thanks Dave. It’s difficult to have anything but a very Feliz Navidad here in Kaua’i!
